Here are some links which talk about the health benefits from Turkey tail mushrooms - Trametes versicolor. They grow all year round and are easy to find on woodland walks. You can make Tea, or powder from them and are beneficial for everyday use. There’s so many reasons these mushrooms are wonderful, and they also make for an exiting woodland when you find them!
Here are some images of how to identify turkey tails. The tip that helped me is that turkey tails are always white an porous on the underside. The false turkey tails are not.
These are the Turkey tails I collected and added to my broth for the juicing days, They are now all dried out and in a jar ready to be used as and when. I’m sure there will come a time when I find another need for them. Meanwhile I only have one dose left in my fly agaric collection - great for those days that you need to focus and concentrate!
I found 2 in the woods about a month ago, but tbh not seen a huge amount of mushrooms in generally this year. Weather has been a bit strange though, was wearing coats, hats and scarfs last week, out in a jumper today and yesterday.
